“Yes, of course. I need a fourth belt. It would mean a lot to me,” Artur Beterbiev told ESPN after the fight. This statement from Beterbiev possibly set in motion a series of events that would eventually lead to the all-Russian light heavyweight clash against Dmitry Bivol. And guess what – fans are here for the epic clash whenever it happens.

Bivol currently holds the IBO and WBA Super Light Heavyweight titles and has wanted to unify the division for the longest time. Turns out, his Russian counterpart wants the same, only for himself. On 13 January, the Montreal resident dominated Callum Smith to defend his IBF, WBC, and WBA light heavyweight titles. Meanwhile, he agreed to assist Bivol in handing over his titles, which prompted a question from Michael Benson on X today.

The online editor for talkSport posed an interesting question, “How does an Artur Beterbiev vs Dmitry Bivol fight play out in your opinion?” Since predictions are involved, it’s vital to consider all the necessary stats. First of all, both fighters are undefeated; both fighters have faced formidable opponents. Where Bivol has defeated Canelo Alvarez, Beterbiev has fought and defeated Oleksandr Usyk.

Beterbiev is coming off a dominant victory over Smith, and Bivol is coming off a win against Lydon Arthur. They both have similar numbers when it comes to the number of pro fights (Beterbiev – 20, Bivol -22). However, Beterbiev has maintained an unbelievable 100% KO ratio, whereas Bivol has a 50% KO ratio, giving the edge to Beterbiev. However, all that went out of the window when fans had to choose their favorite today.

The wildest predictions from the boxing world

A couple of hours in from when the tweet went live, it had already garnered quite the amount of responses. Some had crowned Bivol the winner, while others refused to believe Beterbiev could lose.

One user suggested Bivol would take home the win, emphasizing Bivol’s footwork and the small size of the ring in Beterbiev’s last fight. Moreover, Callum Smith’s brother pointed at the same thing one day after the match.

Another user praised both fighters but claimed that Bivol would have a chance if he could tire out Beterbiev. The user even suggested he would love to see Beterbiev win because of how underappreciated he is.

Someone else was extremely confident as they predicted Bivol to win, claiming he would punch through Beterbiev’s guard. However, if that was easy enough, Beterbiev wouldn’t have a 100% KO ratio.

The next user stated if Beterbiev could replicate his performance with Smith, he would easily win because, according to the user, Bivol lacks the strength to hold back Beterbiev. However, Bivol managed to break through Canelo’s defenses.
