Three-division world champion, Gervonta Davis, is all set to face lightweight phenom, Ryan Garcia, for a scintillating lightweight showdown. Fans are undoubtedly anticipating one of the biggest showdowns yet in the lightweight division. Davis was also long known as the protege of the crown prince of boxing, Floyd Mayweather Jr., before leaving Mayweather promotions in 2022. The duo was recently seen setting their differences aside during a boxing event. Meanwhile, it looks like Davis is staying true to his former mentor’s ‘money’ mentality. And might even leave him behind with the PPV prices for his upcoming fight.
It was reported that the price of PPVs for the Garcia vs ‘Tank’ fight stood at an impressive USD 84.99. And, the fight could be streamed on Showtime.com or the Showtime App. These PPV prices are surprising as they are barely USD 5 shy of the PPV prices for one of Mayweather’s biggest fights. Notably, he fought UFC superstar, Conor McGregor, in 2017. The PPV prices for this fight stood at USD 89.95 for regular and USD 99.95 for HD, as reported by SI.
Meanwhile, Garcia’s promoter, Oscar De La Hoya, is anticipating major PPV buys for the fight. In an interview, he said, “It’s such a special fight. We want to make sure that this fight does 2-2.5-3 million homes. This is that type of event.” In the same vein, with the hype around the fight, it sure looks like Davis and Garcia might very soon give major names a run for their money.

I have to pay it. Really looking forward to this fight. But this will be my only PPV for the year unless we get Spence vs Crawford!
