Mike Tyson has already started the countdown to Jake Paul‘s “wake”. Recently, ‘Iron Mike’ posted a screengrab of the days left for their rescheduled November 15 bout with the caption, “@JakePaul can’t wait.” The much-anticipated showdown was supposed to take place on July 21, but was rescheduled due to Tyson’s medical emergency triggered by a stomach ulcer on a flight from Miami to Los Angeles in May. Nevertheless, Tyson’s health crisis has quickly become a thing of the past as marketing for the fight has picked up again.
Jake Paul’s Most Valuable Promotions announced the date for the fight’s press conference in New York hosted by Super Bowl Champion and the host of Inside the NFL, Ryan Clark, on their X handle. The event will also be broadcast on Most Valuable Promotions and Netflix’s YouTube channel. Furthermore, legendary former NFL Quarterback Peyton Manning will be attending the event in the role of a guest as both fighters will be trading barbs at each other to hype up their upcoming fight. However, the response to the press event has been lukewarm in the socials. But, why is the star power of Mike Tyson and Jake Paul failing to woo the fight fans this time around?
Let the trash talk begin!

In the previous leg of the Tyson-Paul press conference, ‘The Baddest Man on the Planet’ said, “I started Jake off, and I’m going to finish him.” For the uninitiated, Paul made his professional debut on the undercard of the Mike Tyson vs Roy Jones Jr. exhibition fight in 2020, and now Tyson wants to put a full stop to his professional career. There was fun-filled banter between the two fighters in the earlier press conferences, laced with sexual innuendo. Now, to add another chapter to the trash-talking saga, Most Valuable Promotions will be bringing for the fight fans another press event at the Fanatics Fest in NYC on August 18 attended by none other than the five-time NFL MVP Peyton Manning.
“Peyton “The Sheriff” Manning will be a special guest during the Jake Paul vs. Mike Tyson Press Conference at Fanatics Fest on Sunday, August 18th! Don’t miss it… – #PaulTyson Friday, November 15th AT&T Stadium – Arlington, TX Live on @netflix,” Most Valuable Promotions posted on X.
However, there are big question marks about the event as many fight commentators and analysts have expressed concern about Mike Tyson’s health as there will be a 31-year age gap between the two fighters. Meanwhile, Jake Paul has been dragged through the mud relentlessly by his critics for picking up a fight against an aged Tyson who is way past his prime. The sentiment was also expressed in the comment section as fans expressed apathy towards the announcement of the recent presser.

One fan strongly stated “Nobody cares“ about the Jake Paul vs. Mike Tyson fight on November 15. Possibly, they might not want to watch an aged Mike Tyson fight a much younger Jake Paul. The fight does look like a complete mismatch on a cursory look.

Meanwhile, another fan posted the gif of Mike Tyson’s age “58” to remind Jake Paul that he is not fighting a prime Mike Tyson who knocked out opponents for fun.

Another fan congratulated Jake Paul for fighting BKFC’s King of Violence Mike Perry and former heavyweight champion of the world Mike Tyson in one year. Paul defeated Perry at the end of last month via sixth-round TKO.

One fan seemed conflicted about which event was more important: the Mike Tyson fight or the American elections which will be held in November as well.
Not sure what’s more important.
This fight or the election.
