Errol Spence Jr., who was publicly called out by Rolando Romero, has reacted to the leaked sparring footage of the latter via tweet. Recently, Rolando Romero sparred with Jhon Ingram from TMT and was knocked out in the ring. While Romero lay down on the ground, the coach stepped inside the ring and celebrated a knockout that occurred during a “sparring”. Soon Errol Spence Jr. took to Twitter and condemned the behavior of the coach observing the absence of any “class” as such in him.
“Sh*t lame wtf a coach doing getting in the ring jumping up & down yelling celebrating a sparring ko…no class lol,” said Spence Jr. in his tweet. Later in an interview with FightHype, Spence Jr. spoke about a potential fight between ‘Rolly’ and Frank Martin especially since Romero branded Spence Jr. as a “potential opponent” in boxing. Speaking of a potential Spence Jr. vs. ‘Rolly’ bout, the former is of the view that Romero, who is coming off a loss against Gervonta Davis, faces Martin first before getting back in with him.

On being asked about Martin’s latest finish in the ring, Spence Jr. offered his opinion on Romero’s abilities inside the ring. “I feel it looks very great, he [Martin] stopped him in an impressive fashion. Something that Rolly didn’t do. I don’t think you can name an opponent Rolly can beat,” said Spence Jr. to FightHype. While Romero appreciates Martin, he is blunt with ‘Rolly’ in stating there is hardly an opponent that Romero can beat. To lay emphasis, Spence Jr. even cited the only memorable fight that Romero fought in his career was against Davis.

“I mean he only fought ‘Tank’; I think he’ll [Martin] definitely beat Rolly. He’s just a better fighter than Rolly overall,” added Spence Jr. while speaking. Spence Jr. is pretty confident about ‘Rolly’ vs. Martin coming to fruition in the ring. “You know that’s the fight that I think can definitely happen especially Rolly coming off a loss. You know you need a fight to get back in with me, so, why not fight Frank Martin?” he concluded by saying.
