Mike Tyson‘s medical alarm may have thrown a curve ball at the upcoming fight with Jake Paul. On board a flight from Miami to Los Angeles, reportedly, the youngest heavyweight champion’s ulcer flared up. It resulted in him suffering nausea and dizziness. Thankfully, paramedical staff were quickly able to attend to him. His condition is said to be better now. However, the news seems to have sparked rumors questioning the fate of the July 20 match in Arlington.

The Problem Child’ has assured that things remain the same as of now. The fight with Tyson will continue per schedule. But then, who can prevent creative imaginations from taking flight? One such thought came to the notice of fans and followers. Throwing up the dice, it tabled a proposition in case Mike Tyson couldn’t make it to the fight. Only most of the fans, as indicated by the displayed comments, wouldn’t want anything from the suggestion.

A crossover boxing handle said, “If Mike Tyson is forced to pull out of his fight vs. Jake Paul, could we see…” It displayed a montage of tweets reporting Mike Tyson’s health scare. The Tyson-Paul fight poster followed. With his motivational number ‘Not Over Yet‘ playing in the background, the image of KSI in the following sequence gradually replaces that of Tyson. The final shot shows a message: “It only makes sense…

But why KSI? Why not Tommy Fury? Well, for one, Tyson Fury‘s brother and Jake Paul have already fought once. But despite their intense and much-publicized rivalry, ‘The Problem Child’ and the English YouTuber have yet to settle their beef. Hence, a fight between the two makes for a super-exciting line-up.

However, if Mike Tyson is really not able to fight, then can KSI and Paul pull their fight through? It seems very unlikely. First, there’s the weight issue. ‘The Problem Child’ and Tyson’s is a heavyweight fight. By his own admission, the former recently shared that he weighed around 230 lbs. KSI, on the other hand, weighed around 181 pounds during the Tommy Fury fight. More significantly, the issue is that it would be too short a fight notice for him to prepare.

Really? Jake Paul vs. KSI?? Way Off Target

The overall vibe suggested disagreement with the proposition. The justifications carried familiar lines. However, there were a few enthusiastic souls to whom the matchup appeared quite thrilling. Let’s check out a few of the comments from the users.

Sounding skeptical, this user doesn’t seem to believe that, leaving aside everything, KSI would move up to fight Jake Paul in the heavyweight division, and that too at the last minute. The British YouTuber might be courageous. However, the user doesn’t seem convinced about such a move.

Citing the weight difference between the two crossover boxers, the next user shared how KSI fights at 170 in comparison to ‘The Problem Child’.

Then this follower appeared certain that the Jake Paul-Mike Tyson fight would proceed. Because, according to the follower, tickets for the avenue have already been sold. There’s no way the Ohioan can escape from the former heavyweight champion’s wrath, they posited.

However, to this user, the idea sounds great. The hype surrounding the Mike Tyson match-up might have ebbed. Hence, the user believes that a fight with KSI would enliven the buzz.

But the next one went a step ahead. Taking the sarcasm route, they stated that it would be unfair to pair Jake Paul against KSI. The English YouTuber would beat him up easily. Probably that could be the reason why ‘The Problem Child’ continues to fight old men, the user said.

The fight is now a sanctioned professional bout. It is bound by specific rules, though. Considering the present situation, one of the users suggested that the fight should revert back to an exhibition duel. However, given the stakes involved, it remains uncertain whether the organizers and supporters would buy that argument. But whatever the case, one thing remains certain: Fans wouldn’t want either of their icons to get hurt. They want both to come out of the ring hale and hearty.

What’s your take on the suggestion of KSI-Jake Paul replacing the Mike Tyson fight if the boxing great is not available?
