“Nice Form Uncle”: Fans at a Loss For Words After Resurfaced Video Shows Former Super Middleweight Champion Get Sucker Punched By Opponent’s Uncle

As the bell rings and the boxing ring becomes an arena for fierce competition, the world watches in awe at the raw power and skill displayed by the pugilists. Boxing, a sport that has captured the hearts of many, is an electrifying display of human athleticism, strategy, and determination. It is inevitable that sometimes people can become deeply involved and go too far. There have been several instances of this in the past. One can still remember how in his rage Emile Griffith inflicted deadly blows on Benny Paret which he never recovered from. However,  he recently reconciled with Paret’s son.

One can also look a few years back and remember how Leon Lawson Jr. in a fit of rage sucker punched then super middleweight champion Jose Uzcategui. The build-up to the moment still has boxing enthusiasts talking about the incident to this day. Lawson Jr.’s fury descended on Uzcategui after he landed a punch on Andre Dirrell after the bell. Although some would claim that it was not intentional. However, this clearly infuriated Dirrell’s uncle who landed a sucker punch straight on ‘Bolivita’. It appeared that the first punch rattled the Venezuela native though he didn’t go down even after facing such a punch out of nowhere. The WBC suspended Lawson Jr. and it even led to criminal charges.

As the video of the incident resurfaced, fans were left speechless by the incident.

One fan, Filip Black complimented Dirrell’s uncle’s technique as he threw the punch. He wrote, “Nice form uncle”.

Another fan, Joe Hemi-Combat Coach pointed out an interesting observation as he thanked the former champion’s luck. He wrote, “Sheesh that intervention was vital. Man’s second lead hook was coming in prettier than the first👀”.

Meanwhile, P Nazaire Dop humorously dubbed the punch as a “retirement package”. This points out how dangerous it is to take a punch like that unguarded. This could have led to more severe injuries.

Mark Wrenn expressed his envy as he jokingly commented, “I need me an uncle like that dude.”

Another fan, weldonhealth pointed out how serious the situation could’ve been, even though he showed his understanding with the relative’s action. He wrote, “Yeah, guards down after that bell ring and you sock someone you can easily cause a lot of brain issues. I can understand his anger, but you can’t go lashing out like that.”
