The excitement around one of the year’s biggest crossover matches seems to be catching up as it nears. However, it has attracted its fair share of detractors as well. After all, what’s a former UFC Heavyweight champion’s business fighting a reigning Heavyweight boxing champion? Fans and followers are already reeling under copious amounts of crossover and YouTube action. But Tyson Fury begs to differ.
Reportedly, ‘The Gypsy King’ shared how someone considered his match with ‘The Predator’ equal to YouTube boxing. So, he questioned the very reasoning behind such preposterous thoughts. Though no longer with the UFC, Francis Ngannou has been a ferocious fighter. Hence, according to Fury, comparing him with some keyboard pusher is nonsense. In varying degrees, many fans could not disagree.

Given his strength and experience in combat sports, the following user believes that Francis Ngannou is not on par with other crossover boxers, such as Jake Paul, KSI, or Tommy Fury. However, that won’t push him into the league of the top ten Heavyweight boxers, which is something ‘The Gypsy King’ is quite aware of.
Ngannou is certainly not a Jake Paul, KSI or Tommy Fury. His combat experience & power alone guarantees that. But he's also unlikely to be anywhere near the level of the top 10 & that's why people have an issue. Fury blatantly understands this

It’s a crossover boxing match for the following fan, but it’s an advanced version. Since it’s bound to be a lopsided match, there’s no point in buying the tickets. However, the fan seems happy that ‘The Predator’ will take home a handsome paycheck.
It’s crossover boxing at a much higher level is what it is
People shouldn’t buy the fight as it will surely be one sided and Tyson Fury will win. Just another payday for him atm but I’m happy for Ngannou getting the big bag 💰

According to this fan, the match could be considered a farce if the clear favorite to win starts appreciating his opponent’s ability to succeed.
You know a fight is shit when the favourite has to play up his opponents chances

Equating the October 28 fight with a computer game, this user highlighted that it serves as a distraction only. The difference between the two is that while the former remains illusory, the latter pretends to be authentic and expects the fans and followers to buy into the farce.
The fury Ngannou fight is only as real as a computer game and is for entertainment purposes only. The main difference is every one knows a computer game isn’t real but fury/ Warren comedy club will try to convince you this fight is real. Sad they think they’ve fooled boxing fans.

Then, this user drew a parallel with a badminton or TT champion going against the likes of Novak Djokovic and Roger Federer in a game of tennis. The match barely serves any purpose in particular.
It's like a badminton or table tennis champion playing Djokovic or Federer at Tennis. Entertaining at best but a waste of time.

Perhaps it’s a question of horses for courses. No one expects Francis Ngannou to offer the bout on a platter to the Mancunian. At the same time, his chances to stage an upset against one of the most profound heavyweight boxers of modern times remain dim. But what if he manages a surprise on October 28? It would be the greatest upset in the sport’s history since the 1990 ‘Buster’ Douglas-Mike Tyson fight.
