Forty-year-old Roman Harper joined the New Orleans Saints during the 2006 draft. He played a crucial role in the team that eventually won Super Bowl 44 on 7th February 2010 at Sun Life Stadium, Miami gardens. The Prattville, Alabama-born six-footer repeated the feat six years later. He joined Carolina Panthers in 2014 and helped his new team win Super Bowl 50 at Levi’s Stadium in California on 7th February 2016.
The former footballer, now settled with his family in his hometown, seems busy with his foundation, Harper’s Hope Foundation. However, the renowned ‘Strong Safety’ found himself in soup seemingly for the most innocuous reasons. Harper exceeded a tad bit ahead of himself with details accessible to everyone. He must have been raving over his favorite sporting legend’s accomplishment. But what he said subsequently invited anything but appreciation from the die-hard fans.

It’s an arduous task keeping oneself abreast of the minutest details. It is a double-edged sword, especially when it boils down to a living legend. You risk annoying the die-hard fans, and if you are down and out of luck, the celebrity might latch on for a justification.
Roman Harper, who boasts more than 100k followers, shared an old video of Mike Tyson. ‘The Baddest Man on the Planet’ could be seen exchanging punches with Denmark’s Brian Nielsen.

He tagged the video with a statement, “Mike Tyson vs. Brian Nielsen 1989. Tyson’s strength at the age of 20 is scary and too fast…why was he judged lose?”
The message is clear, don’t touch Mike Tyson
It was a time bomb waiting to explode. Fans soon rallied to correct the factual errors of the post.
One user got to the point straight and shared that Mike was thirty-five when he fought Brian Nielson, two years senior to the former champion.
Taking strong exception to Harper’s comments, another mentioned that Tyson never held back; he always gave his all.
For one user, the bout would have barely lasted a minute had it been 1989!
The subsequent two users corrected the years mentioned in the post. One instead wanted to know, “Do you have a problem with your dates and timelines???…”
The entire piece was too much for one user, who lamented its witlessness and thought it to be page-using robots.

The fans’ displeasure was apparent.
On 13th October 2001, Mike Tyson, staging a comeback, fought Brian Nielson at Parken Stadium in Copenhagen. At the time of the bout, Iron Mike was thirty-five, and Nielson thirty-six.
The ten-round match was stopped by the referee when it reached the sixth. Tyson, who dominated through the fight, had inflicted a cut over Nielson’s left eye. Unable to open his eyes and fight further, his corner informed the referee Steve Smogger for a stoppage. The latter afterward awarded Tyson a win through technical knockout.
