For an athlete who spent the majority of his life sprinting in the field, Le’Veon Bell can certainly box. Bell fought with his hands low, but despite weighing 204lbs, demonstrated effective footwork and head movement. Not the finest boxing one would ever see but that Bell looked sharp even in the fifth and final round deserves credit from the fans. The fact that Le’Veon Bell approached the fight with plans was on full display as he feinted the left hand and scored with the right.

Reactions to Le’Veon Bell knocking out Adrian Peterson in their boxing debut
Even when Bell played for the NFL, what set him apart was his control over his movement and ability to change tracks midway while dashing through the field. Bell’s conditioning, shifting, feinting, and athleticism was truly praiseworthy while he ran for the Steelers. Some of these traits were witnessed once again as he boxed. Bell has had the experience and training to stiff-arm his way through people. Therefore, it was not hard to believe when he knocked out Peterson with one punch he threw.
