It has not been a good season for Aaron Rodgers. The California native transferred to the New York Jets last season, and it has not been a good journey so far. In his debut, Rodgers ruptured his knee within minutes, and this season showed no improvement either as the Jets are far from playoffs with a record of 4-10.
Naturally, Rodgers has received a lot of criticism for his performance. The criticism is far more brutal, considering the quarterback has not been a fan-favorite since his misleading statement regarding COVID-19 vaccination in 2021 came to light. In the latest episode of The Pat McAfee Show, Aaron Rodgers decided to answer his critics, a move that seemed smart at that moment but backfired exponentially as boxing hall-of-fame promoter Lou DiBella ripped apart the quarterback and hurled some disastrous insults at the quarterback.
Aaron Rodgers does not care

NFL reporter Dov Kleiman took to his ‘X’ and shared a clip from Pat McAfee’s show, where Aaron Rodgers took an interesting approach to answer his criticism. Rather than acknowledging the criticism of his underwhelming performances, A-Rod seems to think that everyone is against him because of his stance against vaccination. He proclaimed, “Say whatever the f*ck you want about me. I don’t care. But just before you do it, whether you state your name, your accolades, pronouns, whatever it is – just state your vax status, so that anything you say afterwards gets put in the right light. Just get it out there,” claiming that people are criticizing him purely because of his stance against vaccination.
First of all, the HATERS are correct that Aaron Rodgers is a punched ticket, metaphorically a “shot fighter”, and a selfish prick who has actually made his team worse. Secondarily, he is an asshole. When you’re estranged from your entire immediate family, maybe it’s YOU. https://t.co/lZdJDBqoDh

This is not the first time that Aaron Rodgers has been vocal about the criticism he is receiving for his vaccination stance. In 2021, the California native appeared on Pat McAfee’s show to talk about his concern regarding the COVID vaccination. He claimed that mRNA vaccines (Pfizer and Moderna), have the potential to instigate an allergic reaction. Furthermore, he was also against the Johnson & Johnson vaccine due to reports of blood clotting in vaccinated individuals. Rodgers then added that because of his decision, he has been a victim of the “woke mob” and “cancel culture.”
Following that controversy, Rodgers was termed as selfish and irresponsible by the fans. It further added to his polarizing persona that has put him in a bad light. It looks like those criticisms still have not left him as Lou DiBella replied to the clip, brutally ridiculing Aaron Rodgers.
Lou DiBella tears into Rodgers
DiBella, while sharing the clip wrote, “First of all, the HATERS are correct that Aaron Rodgers is a punched ticket, metaphorically a “shot fighter”, and a selfish prick who has actually made his team worse,” claiming that New York Jets got worse after Rodgers came around. The Jets expected the 41-year-old to help turn their fortunes around after a few seasons of struggle. However, the disastrous season resulted in the Jets’ elimination from the playoff race and the firings of their coach, Robert Saleh, and general manager, Joe Douglas.
DiBella further added, “Secondarily, he is an a**hole. When you’re estranged from your entire immediate family, maybe it’s YOU,” claiming that while Aaron Rodgers is questioning everyone, maybe the problem is with him while referring to his separation from his family.

Rodgers and his relationship with his estranged family has been a hot topic for the fans for quite some time. We finally got some answers on his docuseries, “Aaron Rodgers: Enigma,” which was released earlier this month. The 41-year-old claimed that things started to change when “I started to stand up to institutions of my youth.” Rodgers explained that as years passed by, he started questioning the way of Christianity and looking into other ways of spirituality. “And that was everything from organized religion, my parents, dogma, ideology, and that definitely changed the dynamics of my family, because I was just questioning all of it,” claimed Rodgers.
According to sources, Rodger’s comments were like a “slap in the face to the fundamentals of who” his family is. As the New York Jets QB turned his back on his family’s teachings, the relationship started to worsen. The same occurred happened with his brother Jordan as well.
The rift first became public in 2016 when Jordan appeared on “The Bachelorette”. In the new docuseries, Aaron Rodgers mentions the fissure while speaking on his brother’s appearance on The Bachelorette. He stated, “They go on a ** show and leave two empty chairs. They all agreed this was a good thing to do, to leave two empty chairs at a stupid dating show that my brother just went on to get famous, his words, not mine, that he ended up winning.”

Even though Aaron Rodgers wants reconciliation, his family has no plans for that. While DiBella’s comment is rude, it is the consensus of many fans. Over the years, fans have been getting tired of Aaron Rodgers’s shenanigans with no performance to back them. If the future Hall-of-Famer QB does not improve his form, these criticisms are only going to get more brutal.
