It has been almost 7 years since KSI laid down a challenge to Jake Paul that started off a rivalry that doesn’t seem like it has an end yet. The pair has constantly been trading blows on social media since then and has repeatedly failed to make an actual fight happen.

Given that it is one of the most sought-after fights in celebrity boxing, there must be something wrong in play that is stopping it from happening and it needs to end now. It is not only the fans who want the fight but boxing insider Ariel Helwani thinks the same.

Ariel Helwani ready to play the role of a mediator

On Wednesday, KSI sat down with Helwani and opened up about his rivalry with Jake Paul. During the interview, the London native revealed that he has always been working on himself behind the scenes in case an opportunity arrives to fight Jake Paul. Over the years, he has been putting on weight and getting bigger so that he can step in at any given time.

However, he was not sure whether the fight would happen on Netflix or DAZN. A partnership is complicated because of the differences between Misfits and MVP, making the role of a streaming platform far more important in their case. At the end of the interview, Helwani, who has wanted to see this fight for a long time, once again asked KSI about the bout. Seeing the London native beating around the bush, he finally lost his patience and claimed, “Come on, Let’s go! What can I do? How do I make this happen?” ready to play the role of a mediator between the two teams.

“Can I get both you and Jake on the same show? Can we finally hash this out? I want to see this,” stated Helwani. For him, the idea of celebrity boxing was so intriguing because these “guys were the ones that made fun fights. You made the impossible, possible.” However, since the arrival of His Excellency Turki Alalshikh, “we are seeing in “Real boxing” We are seeing them make all the fights.” On the other hand, the one fight that everyone wants to see “in this world isn’t happening. We gotta make it happen,” Helwani lamented frustratedly.

KSI acquiesced at the offer and added that he would “be down. Me and Jake, on your show.” However, he couldn’t say the same thing about The Problem Child. The insider replied that he would “extend the invitation” to Jake Paul in hopes that the latter would accept it.

Only time will tell whether the 28-year-old will accept the invitation or not. However, Jake Paul’s promoter Nakisa Bidarian has at least cleared one of KSI’s doubts, making it rather easier.

Will Jake Paul finally step up to face KSI, or is he just all talk?

Is DAZN the home for Jake Paul vs. KSI?

As expected, the interview went viral instantly as the prominent boxing page, The Bread Batch updated the fans about the recent developments. They uploaded an edited post of Jake Paul vs. KSI and revealed, “KSI wants to fight Jake Paul on Netflix this year.” The post immediately attracted lots of reactions, including that of Nakisa Bidarian, who set the record straight on streaming. He revealed, “That fight, when it happens, belongs on DAZN. They have committed years of time and money to the crossover space.”

DAZN undoubtedly has been a home to all of Misfits’ events. They have organized the biggest crossover boxing fights over the years. So, taking away the biggest celebrity crossover fight ever from them wouldn’t be fair. Furthermore, given that both Misfits and MVP share a good relationship with DAZN, forming a partnership won’t be that difficult, which should be a relief for KSI.

Currently, no one knows whether this revelation by Jake Paul’s promoter was a nudge or not. However, a fight between the duo is possible. It is just that they have to sit down together once and hash it all out. What do you think? Will Jake Paul accept Helwani’s invitation? Let us know your thoughts down below.
