In the recent episode of ‘Hotboxin’ with Mike Tyson’ podcast, there was an ongoing discussion about Africa and Nelson Mandela. That is when Tyson talked about his one of the most intriguing incident with Nelson Mandela.

While talking about it, Tyson said, “When he was in prison, he asked me for my gloves.”

Mandela spent 27 years of his life in prison. And during that tenure, he asked the young ‘Kid Dynamite’ for his gloves as a souvenir to him. This showed how Mandela adored boxing even when he was in the prison for such a long period.

Right after the sad demise of Nelson Mandela, Mike Tyson expressed his views on Mandela in his tweet.

Tyson described the personality of Mandela, which taught him the values of discipline, courage, love, and, most importantly, forgiveness.

Mandela has taught many things to the world through his deeds and ideology. Moreover, he is inclined towards sports for his philosophy of peace and love.

A famous quote from Mandela still remains in the minds of youth, imbibing pure values and direction, suggesting the idea behind erasing the discrimination amongst the people through sports.
