“Where are you, Jake Paul?” These are the words that the fans heard Neeraj Goyat yell with passion as he campaigned hard to land a fight with the American fighter. While the visuals of him getting into a skirmish with ‘Problem Child’ didn’t land him the coveted fight, he found a deal with Jake Paul’s Most Valuable Promotions after the stunt. Now he has the perfect opportunity to showcase his talent after exhibiting his excellent marketing skills. Will the fighter from India be able to do that?
The fans will find out the answer to it, as they will witness Goyat put on a show against Whindersson Nunes on the Jake Paul vs. Mike Tyson undercard on November 15 at AT&T Stadium. It’s the biggest fight at the biggest stage of his career. A win here opens the doors to bigger fights and heavier money bags. But before the two fighters get into action for the six-round contest, let’s have a look at how the two boxers stack up.

Goyat, 33, is your typical orthodox fighter, who uses his right hand as a power punch while he tries to be agile and quick on his feet. His swift movement and footwork have aided his rise in the professional world. But it’s his perseverance that sets him apart, as he tends to bounce back strongly despite losses and puts on an impressive display even when pitted against tougher and more skilled fighters. The Begampur native has amassed an impressive record of 18-4-2 with 8 KOs, where he has won 9 out of his last 10 fights.
The only loss in his last 10 fights? It came against Jose Zepeda, who has emerged as one of the top talents and world title contenders at 140. In addition, the welterweight fighter from India knows how to pack a punch despite his preference for defensive prowess and gaining an advantage there. His KO ratio of 44.44% also suggests the same. What’s more? His last four wins have all come by a knockout. Goyat utilizes his dimensions well, as he stands tall at 5′ 7½” (171 cm) and employs a jab using his reach of 67.0″ (170 cm).
Nunes, 29, is the younger of the two but has yet to venture deep into the world of boxing. The Brazilian has made the transition from the influencer world, similar to Paul, to the boxing world. In a relatively nascent career, he fought 3 exhibition fights, producing a mixed result of 1-1-1. However, when he took the big step towards professional boxing, it didn’t turn out to be successful. Nunes fought his only pro fight under Misfits against Thai YouTuber My Mate Nate and dropped the fight on the scorecards. Therefore, he currently has a Misfits record of 0-1. But on the professional front, he has yet to make a debut.
The Piauí native will carry the size and height advantage in the fight and try to impose himself on Goyat. His height measures 5’9″ (175 cm), and he has a reach advantage of two inches with his measurement of 69″ (175 cm). He could use his dimensions to gain some ground in the fight. But will it be enough?

When you look at Goyat, he has had a deep and impressive amateur career, too. He won the bronze at the Youth Commonwealth Games in 2008. ‘Gangster’ carried the same momentum when he turned pro and clinched the WBC Asian welterweight title thrice. You can also look at his exploits when he was a top-20 ranked fighter in the world by the WBC. Therefore, Goyat has all the experience of fighting stiff competition at a higher level. You can spot him utilizing his stance to maintain control in the ring as he unloads effective and calculated punches.

Compared to him, Nunes has yet to be tested. His experience and performances so far also don’t invoke a lot of confidence. While he has age on his side, he doesn’t have the skills and boxing prowess of someone like Goyat’s caliber. Interestingly, he was training with UFC champion Alex Pereira in the camp.

But strange things have happened in the past, and Nunes has to come up with a game plan where he maximizes his size advantage and tries to bridge the skills gap between him and Goyat. Can he do it? Could be. But we have Goyat winning this one without any hiccups.
