It takes a specific ounce of stupidity to trash talk a professional boxer without facing the consequences. In fact, it was recently reported the IBF flyweight champion, Sunny Edwards, recently beat up a Twitter troll.

The duo then proceeded to face each other in the ring. Tanga tried throwing big swings at Edwards. However, he was unable to land any punches and was met with tasteful mockery from the flyweight maestro.
On the other hand, when Edwards took an offensive stance, the tables quickly turned and Tanga was downed almost instantly. It is also worth noting that Edwards is considered the best active flyweight in the sport.
Sunny Edwards awed fans with his performance
Fans were overjoyed to see Sunny Edwards’ performance against the Twitter troll. In fact, many fans took to social media to side with the champ.
There’s a good few trolls on here I’d enjoy doing that too, Sunny was actually too nice there 🤣
— Anthony Fowler 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟 (@afowler06) July 23, 2022
British boxer Anthony Fowler mentioned that he would love to do the same to internet trolls.
need more fighters to do this…. too many keyboard warriors talking crap yet never had the balls to get in that ring
— NotPlayboi 🇪🇸 (@PlayboiOck) July 23, 2022
Similarly, user @PlayboiOck also felt that more fighters should start fighting trolls. The user also added that there are a lot of ‘keyboard warriors’ who are quick to talk.
Why would you go and spar a professional boxer 😂 lucky he was playing.
— Jamie Chennells (@bombszelberger) July 23, 2022
It’s amazing how people on Twitter don’t actually realise how bloody good a world champion boxer is. Don’t look all that good on tv but my god you go into there world your realise real quick how good they actually are
— Andy Heath (@andy_heath7) July 23, 2022
One is stupid to think that they would have a chance against a boxer if they are not themselves a boxer.
younger I played around with a boxer friend, whithin 30 seconds I understood, boxers are no joke, it is an art.
— Zacharie c. Kazan 🇬🇧 🇫🇷 (@simplyzak) July 23, 2022
Meanwhile, a few users were confused as to why Tanga would challenge a boxing champion. Moreover, user @andy_heath7 mentioned that most people are unaware of how good champion boxers are. In fact, user @simplyzak even states that Tanga was st*pid to think that he would have a chance against a professional boxer without being a boxer himself.
Imagine Tyson back in the day having someone call him a wanker on twitter, inviting that person to spar & they show up. LOOOL 😂😂
— Danny Doyle (@dannysnooker) July 23, 2022
On the other hand, user @dannysnooker hilariously pondered a potential scenario where a troll challenged a prime Mike Tyson.
I kindnof think, that sunny should be above all this, he is a world champion, he don't have to prove nothing to a nobody, silly really.
— Shehan Berhardt (@ShehanBerhardt) July 23, 2022
Conversely, user @ShehanBerhardt felt that Edwards should not have fought Tanga. The user also stated that being a world champion, Edwards had nothing to prove.
