It takes a specific ounce of stupidity to trash talk a professional boxer without facing the consequences. In fact, it was recently reported the IBF flyweight champion, Sunny Edwards, recently beat up a Twitter troll.

Twitter user Fab Tanga had bombarded Edwards with a series of tweets the past few days asking for a fight. In fact, he even spent 110 pounds (approx USD 132) on a train ticket from London to Sheffield. Notably, Edwards’ gym is located in Sheffield.

Meanwhile, Edwards drove to his gym after he got to know that Tanga actually showed up. He said, “I’m on the way right now, don’t go anywhere you little f*cking helmet.”

The duo then proceeded to face each other in the ring. Tanga tried throwing big swings at Edwards. However, he was unable to land any punches and was met with tasteful mockery from the flyweight maestro.

On the other hand, when Edwards took an offensive stance, the tables quickly turned and Tanga was downed almost instantly. It is also worth noting that Edwards is considered the best active flyweight in the sport.

Sunny Edwards awed fans with his performance

Fans were overjoyed to see Sunny Edwards’ performance against the Twitter troll. In fact, many fans took to social media to side with the champ.

British boxer Anthony Fowler mentioned that he would love to do the same to internet trolls.

Similarly, user @PlayboiOck also felt that more fighters should start fighting trolls. The user also added that there are a lot of ‘keyboard warriors’ who are quick to talk.

Meanwhile, a few users were confused as to why Tanga would challenge a boxing champion. Moreover, user @andy_heath7 mentioned that most people are unaware of how good champion boxers are. In fact, user @simplyzak even states that Tanga was st*pid to think that he would have a chance against a professional boxer without being a boxer himself.

On the other hand, user @dannysnooker hilariously pondered a potential scenario where a troll challenged a prime Mike Tyson.

Conversely, user @ShehanBerhardt felt that Edwards should not have fought Tanga. The user also stated that being a world champion, Edwards had nothing to prove.
