The former WBC heavyweight champion Deontay Wilder found a unique way of celebrating April Fools’ Day, 2022. Interestingly, the first person he targeted was one of the greatest basketball players of all-time in NBA history, Shaquille O’Neal.

The most sensational heavyweight in the recent past took to social media platform and wished 50th birthday to the NBA legend ‘Shaq’.

‘The Bronze Bomber’ dropped a picture of ‘Shaq’ on his Instagram account and wrote,Happy Born Day @shaq I love you, bro, And nothing but love for you, as will bro @courtdreams #BombZquad #TilThisDay.”

However, it was a normal wish for those who didn’t know the fact that Shaq turned 50 on 6 March 2022. Notably, the power mammoth of the heavyweight division and Shaq are good friends. Moreover, Deontay Wilder is the favorite heavyweight boxer of the NBA legend.

Furthermore, ‘Shaq’ was present in the arena to witness the epic trilogy between Tyson Fury and ‘The Bronze Bomber’ that took place the previous year in October 2021. This speaks volumes about their bond of friendship.

However, it did not sit well with fans. They questioned Deontay Wilder’s sanity as he wished Shaquille O’Neal roughly 25 days after his birthday.

One fan wrote, “@Shaq though your bd had passed lol hbd anyway.”

A look at fans who corrected Deontay Wilder

As soon as Deontay Wilder wished the NBA icon, many fans took it as their job to correct him.

An Instagram user wrote, “It’s not Shaq’s birthday.”

Another user questioned. He asked, “I thought his birthday was the 6th?

“Born Day?“, another fan picked two words from the caption Of Deontay Wilder and added a laughing emoji to it.

Another fan wrote correcting Wilder, “Shaq’s birthday was March 6.”

“Shaq B Day was 25 days ago bro”, added another fan.

Another user wrote, “Till dis Day.”

While these fans corrected Wilder, there were others who wanted to see ‘The Bronze Bomber’ again inside the ring.

Since the last battle of the historic trilogy has ended, Deontay Wilder has hinted at his retirement from the sport.
