British female boxing star Natasha Jonas will face the toughest test of her professional career against reigning, undisputed champion, Katie Taylor. The 36-year-old will have a lot to prove when the two face off in May to settle the score.

Taylor and Jonas will fight for all four of Taylor’s belts as the co-main event of Dereck Chisora vs. Joseph Parker. However, this is not the only time the two have faced each other in the ring. In the last meeting, Taylor got the better of Jonas, and thus, the Scouser will want to prove her worth.

“It is two totally different sports. You’re talking, you know, points. At the time we were trying to score points, not winning rounds. You’re talking, a knockdown is just a point instead of a 10-8, and you’d only have four rounds and now we’ve got ten.”

The Liverpudlian then added, “So it is a totally different fight and there’s different skills that you have. Endurance, you know, durability, all of them.”

These comments show that the previous meeting does not bother Jonas. Moreover, she is confident in her abilities and game-plan now that it is a longer fight.
