Fans were unhappy with Mayweather’s questionable behavior towards a young boxer who sought his advice. Was it a show of arrogance? Amidst Mayweather answering questions about his upcoming fight against John Gotti III, a young fan in the audience, who was also a boxer, asked for a piece of advice from the 50-0 pugilist that would help him become as “great” as ‘Pretty Boy.’ In response, noticing that the young boxer was carrying a belt, asked, “Let me see if you got the right belt. let me see if you got my picture on there.” Thereafter, Mayweather signaled him to show his belt. Obliging, the young fan came up to show him his strap. Expressing displeasure, Mayweather responded, “Tell him Mauricio (head of WBC) gave him the wrong belt. We gonna give him the right belt.”

Being his usual self, he claimed that the belt lacked “official” status. But why? “You know he got the official one when he got my face on it.”
His hubris was on full display when he refused to give the boxer any advice until he got the “right belt.” “Before I give any advice, my first advice is to get the right belt,” he said.

After all, the retired professional boxer became the biggest PPV draw in the history of “sweet science” by playing the heel. Nonetheless, fans flooded the comment section to give Mayweather a reality check.

Meanwhile, another fan came up with a joke to highlight Mayweather’s arrogance in his actions towards the young boxer. They wrote, “Random guy: “Please Floyd, I’m about to die! Pass me my life-saving medication that’s on the desk over there, hurry!” Floyd: “Ok but first and foremost, who’s the best ever? . . .” Furthermore, why isn’t my face on the medication?”
One fan hoped to boost the young boxer’s confidence by stating that self-belief is more important than any advice from other people. This user fulfilled the boy’s wish while Floyd couldn’t. They commented, “Don’t need his advice just believe in yourself,work hard,surround yourself with people that wanna see u win more than yourself,and trust the process.”

Meanwhile, one fan pointed towards Gervonta Davis’ earlier comments about Floyd Mayweather being selfish. Notably, Davis used to work for Floyd’s fight banner Mayweather Promotions, but left due to a fractured relationship with ‘TBE.’ They commented, “Tank told y’all he only care about himself.”
