The highly rated heavyweight fighter, Frank Sanchez, continued his incredible undefeated streak with another victory. The 28-year-old showed his class and dismantled his opponent for six rounds before a controversial ending marred the fight, causing the crowd to show their disapproval. Here’s what happened.
The two fought as the undercard of the Canelo Alvarez vs. Billy Joe Saunders event. Sanchez went into the bout as the firm favorite over the American. How did the fight end?
The biggest talking point came in round 6 when Sanchez continued his dominance over the 34-year-old. However, in the exchange, Sanchez landed a slightly questionable shot to the back of Aguilera’s head. This sent the ‘Dominican Dynamite’ crashing down.

However, fans questioned the legitimacy of the claims from Aguilera, who appeared to go down a little later. Moreover, he flopped around the canvas and stood up just before the referee called the fight. Therefore, the fans questioned if it was a genuine claim or just a way out for the veteran.

As a result, the doctor checked in on Aguilera and called the fight. Hence, the referee went to the judges’ scorecards until the incident. The Cuban took home a unanimous 60-54 decision after 6 rounds, which was a fair reflection of the fight until that point.
