Shakur Stevenson is ready for new challenges in the lightweight division. The former featherweight and super featherweight champion switched to the lightweight division as he claimed that he was struggling to make weight in the previous divisions. And there is no doubt that Stevenson is one of the top professional boxers in the sport today. The 25-year-old has been open about his aspirations to fight the top fighters in the lightweight division. He awaits his opportunity to prove himself in the division. And, maybe, even get his chance at the world championship titles.

Stevenson was present at the matchup between Devin Haney and Vasyl Lomachenko. And he recently took to his Instagram to share a series of pictures from the event. Stevenson is eager to get his hands on some top names in the division, with Haney being one of them. He shared a picture from the fight with Haney in the frame and wrote a caption to depict his eagerness and wait for a fight like that.

Stevenson shared pictures from the event. In one picture, it can be seen that he’s standing inside the boxing ring after the fight and is staring at Haney. The picture shows the tension between the two. And the 25-year-old’s eagerness to become the next undisputed lightweight champion.

In the caption, the two-division world champion wrote, “My destiny awaits- God put me here for this reason. I understand it clearly now.” After the fight, Stevenson came out to support Lomachenko and called the fight a robbery for him as Haney prevailed via unanimous decision.

Stevenson also shared an excerpt from the popular anime series Dragon Ball. He further added, “Love you all. I’m more focused than I ever been .” No fight has been announced yet. But, a fight between Haney and Stevenson is not off the table. And the world can expect to see these two clash.

Who will Shakur Stevenson fight next?

Stevenson made his lightweight debut on April 8, winning against Shuichiro Yoshino via technical knockout. Since then, the fans have been eager to know who the 25-year-old will fight next. And it seems like his list of potential opponents is long.

Stevenson wants a shot at a world title and has been eager to get in the ring with Devin Haney. But, at the same time, it seems like he might possibly go head-to-head with some of the other boxers, such as Gervonta Davis, Ryan Garcia, etc before he steps foot inside the ring for a world championship title.
