Conor Benn was scheduled to fight Chris Eubank Jr on Oct 8, 2022, as both the fighters had to revisit the fight their fathers had with each other in 1993. But the fight could not take place, as Benn tested positive for clomifene, which resulted in the cancellation of the fight. Even so, he got his British license revoked by the British Boxing Board of Control (BBBoC). Conor Benn however, has been denying all the accusations, and he could not believe the results of the tests himself.
Benn’s family hasn’t been on good terms with BBBoC, as his father Nigel Benn tore up the BBBoC license live on British television. It was majorly because of the treatment of Nigel Benn by the British Boxing Board of Control.
According to the boxer, they made it pretty hard to obtain permission to get inside the ring. And this was referenced by Conor Benn in his latest interview with Piers Morgan. Notably, Benn even expressed disappointment over Jon Jones’ doping scandal.
