The world of motorsports woke up to deeply saddening news. It was reported that professional rally driver, Ken Block, recently lost his life in a snowmobile accident. He was 55. Block was a rally driver, and the co-founder of, the Hoonigan Racing Division. Moreover, he was also one of the co-founders of DC Shoes. His death came as a massive shock to both the world of motorsports and fans alike, with tributes pouring in for Block. Meanwhile, YouTuber turned boxer, Jake Paul, joined many notable names in offering condolences to the late motor racing icon.

It was reported by Utah’s Wasatch County Sheriff’s Office that Block was riding a snowmobile on a steep slope in the Mill Hollow area, which was outside Woodland. The accident occurred during the afternoon when Block’s snowmobile overturned and landed on top of him.

Additionally, it was said that Block was riding as a part of a group. But was alone at the time of the accident.

Hoonigans Racing Division later released a statement informing fans and the motorsports fraternity of Block’s passing. And also extended support to his family, saying, “Ken was a visionary, a pioneer, and an icon. And most importantly, a father and husband. He will be incredibly missed. Please respect the family’s privacy at this time while they grieve.”

The American Rally Association also took to social media to address his demise and offer condolences.

Jake Paul joins others as tributes pour in for Ken Block

Block was a well-loved member of the motorsports community. And his death was a major blow to the sporting world as a whole. Many notable names from the world of sports took to social media to offer tributes to Block.

Paul was affected by Block’s demise. He referred to him as his ‘childhood hero‘. And also mentioned that 2023 has started on a rough note. Similarly, Muhammad Ali’s grandson, Nico Ali Walsh, also offered condolences. In fact, he posted a picture with Block and mentioned that he was devastated by his passing. Meanwhile, NFL players, Darius Slayton and Shawne Merriman also took to Twitter to offer tributes.
