Muhammad Ali‘s achievements inside the ring are unparalleled. However, his legacy crossed the boundaries of the squared circle. He was an iconic figure and an epitome of resilience. Throughout his lifetime, Ali championed many social causes. Amongst other things, Ali was a civil rights advocate, fought for racial equality, and was a community hero.

Ali gave birth to nine children and seven of them are his daughters. One of his daughters, Maryum Ali has a social media presence of her own and has over 25,000 followers on Instagram. And recently, she took to Instagram to help out in a noble cause.

Moreover, In an unfortunate turn of events, thousands of lives have been lost in the earthquake that struck in Morocco’s High Atlas mountains a week ago. In addition, more than double the deaths have been reported in Libya due to the devastating floods. The state of these countries is in turmoil and it is necessary to aid them in such disasters. Maryum Ali took to her Instagram story to spread the word about ways to donate to the victims of this natural calamity. It is safe to say that she carries on the legacy of her father who wanted to stand for people in need.

Maryum Ali gets candid about her father’s disease

In an interview, the daughter of the, ‘Greatest,’ unveiled that she had seen symptoms of her father’s Parkinson disease but did not know much about it at the time. She stated, “A lot wasn’t known about Parkinson’s back then, as it is now. We have great research now. People know what it is. Great therapies. But back then he was kind of lost and was told he had Parkinson’s syndrome and then it wouldn’t progress… but it did.”
