Floyd Schofield widely regarded as one of the most promising prospects in professional boxing has stacked up only 13 fights on his resume but positively maintains high spirits. In his dawning career, the undefeated 20-year-old could not find a single opponent who would have given him tough competition. As a result, the New Jersey-born has started believing that he is ready to take on big risks and now his eyes are set on big fights against the elite fighters of the division like the undisputed lightweight champion Devin Haney and the 2020 Olympic silver medalist Keyshawn Davis.
In his recent tweet, he knocked on the doors of both lightweight dynamos. He wrote, “Back in camp… April 29th live on @daznboxing. Let’s see if @realdevinhaney and twitter fingers @businesskeyshawn have something to say after this one. Are we fighting next @businesskeyshawn after this fight? I am going to knock both of you out. No disrespect…it’s my job.”

Schofield had a fantastic start in 2023 and which certainly has boosted his confidence. In the first month of the year, he faced Alberto Mercado for the vacant WBA International Lightweight crown and bagged a decision win. Following this victory, he is back in the camp for his upcoming outing which is set to take place in April.
Before this, he issued a warning to Haney and Keyshawn Davis who are sitting at the top of the division. Interestingly, when fans came across this, they poured their reactions.
How did fans react to Schofield’s warning to Haney and Davis?
@boxergirl1970 gave a suggestion to Schofield who is moving up with lightning speed. He wrote, “Move up slowly kid A..u move too fast..then what? rise smart.”

@Kb53177504 suggested that Haney is a big deal for him. Certainly, he is. The latter is the world champion with four big opportunities, he would no doubt seek them first. But Keyshawn Davis on the other hand comes in the league of fighters who are still chasing the world title so it would be a good match-up for Schofield.
Devin fighting you does none for his career right now but you and Keyshawn a good fight fasho 🤷🏾♂️

@Sir_KingArthur gave a reality check to the rising prospect.
You not a contender yet G chill out.

@HailCeaser suggested that Schofield must focus on himself and grind more because the fighters he is calling out are far ahead.
Bruh just focus on you. Devin isn’t going to fight you when he has more lucrative fights. Keyshawn maybe but doubtful. He’s up and coming too. Just grind it out
