“Most Embarrassing Dad Ever”: Former World Champ Being Scolded by His Father in Front of Floyd Mayweather Sr. in Forgotten Clip Doesn’t Sit Well With Boxing World

A clip has recently resurfaced online in which former world champion Chris Eubnak Jr. gets scolded by his father in front of Floyd Mayweather Sr. His father, Chris Eubank Sr. is a former WBO middleweight and super-middleweight champion himself. Eubank Sr. and his son greeted Mayweather Sr. at a boxing press conference years ago. At the time, Eubank Sr. was not pleased with his son’s skills and he made that evident when he asked Mayweather Sr. to teach him certain techniques. Thereafter, Eubank Sr. explained by showcasing the jab to his son in front of Mayweather Sr.

Witnessing the same, Mayweather Sr. took off his jacket and showed how fast his jab is years after retirement. However, the boxing world was stunned to see Eubank Jr. getting scolded by his father in front of the public, and Mayweather Sr.

Boxing world reacts to Eubank Sr. teaching how to throw a jab to his son

Eubank Jr. has etched his name as one of the best middleweight boxers in recent times. Though years before he become a champion, his father did not shy away from pointing out his flaws at a boxing press conference. In the video posted by IFLTV on Facebook, Eubank Sr. told his son that Mayweather Sr. is going to teach him a few techniques. He stated, “I have spoken to him, he is gonna give you 2 lessons”.  Mayweather Sr. showed his jab which amused Eubank Jr. to see how fast Mayweather Sr.’s hands are even years after his retirement.

Eubank Jr. stated, “It’s amazing, all these years and he still got that speed. He got that reaction speed and that’s the stuff we have worked on over the years. Amazing, good to see he passed all that to his son.” The reporter then asked if he would be like that when he grows old. “I hope so, I hope so I really do,” responded Eubank Jr. Meanwhile, his father interrupted and stated, “I want you to be like that now.”

The boxing world was stunned to witness such candid behavior by Eubank Sr. and they made that evident. One fan named Luke Swales was of the opinion that Eubank Jr. should listen to the advice given by his father. He stated, “When the Sheriff speaks, you listen.” Another fan named Nick Wright noticed how instantly Mayweather was ready to throw down his hands and stated, “Any chance Floyd senior gets to throw hands he’s throwing hands that man don’t need no encouragement lol.”

One fan named Zakes Jeza confessed that Eubnak Jr. needs his father in his corner for his bouts. He stated, “Yeah, I agree with Eubank senior. His son really needs him at his corner” On the contrary, one fan is of the opinion that Eubank Sr. is embarrassing his son. He stated, “Eubank sr one of the most embarrassing toughest men in Britain he must have took too many punches to the head.” Lastly, on similar lines, another user wrote, “Most embarrassing dad ever, poor Junior.”
