Has Ryan Garcia's chase for money ruined his boxing career? What do you think?

What to make of Ryan Garcia exactly? These last couple of months have been tough for him, from getting slapped with a year-long ban to his mother’s struggles with breast cancer. But it’s his actions and shenanigans that have attracted eyeballs for all the wrong reasons. It seems Juan Manuel Marquez has some choice words for him and also advice for the Victorville native.

Marquez, 50, appeared in a conversation with Fight Hub TV, and when asked about his opinion on Garcia, 26, he pointed out money as the reason for his troubles. Garcia, at 24-1, has already amassed a long following on social media and has cemented his reputation as a PPV star. His fights with Gervonta Davis and Devin Haney left him with heavy money bags. As is the case, ‘KingRy’ has enough in his bank not to commit to boxing and stay focused on his boxing career.

Keeping that in mind, along with Garcia’s outbursts on social media, Marquez declared, “Every fighter thinks differently, and certainly what he’s doing is not good for him. Ryan Garcia is a good fighter. But I don’t know what’s happening with him right now.” The former Mexican champion then advised Garcia to return to the gym and keep on training, which would help him block the outside noise.

‘Dynamite’ continued, “He needs to return to the gym. He needs to keep training. He is a good fighter. I don’t know. He’s crazy at this moment. Money makes you do crazy things. It makes you go crazy.”

The fans are also unsure of what the future holds for the lightweight boxer, as he is entering his prime years but remains engulfed in controversies. While they are eager for a rematch between the Victorville native and Haney, it’s not possible on American soil. HE Turki Alalshikh has expressed his eagerness to make the fight possible. But there is a catch.

Devin Haney vs. Ryan Garcia rematch but under one condition

Recently, the Saudi adviser disclosed his desire to organize a fight involving Garcia. However, he also put a condition on the table that the fighter should pass the drug tests and clear himself. The 43-year-old said, “First of all, I like [Ryan Garcia], and second, I want to do a big fight with him. But I’ll tell you my situation now. I’m against drugs and everything, I said to Ryan Garcia, ‘You must pass the test and clear yourself, and I’m waiting for you’.”
