In a dramatic showdown, Oleksandr Usyk claimed his victory against Daniel Dubois. The Ukranian fighter took down his opponent with a short right hand to the face. However, this fight will go down as one of the most controversial matchups and it is not for the reason that most would assume. Yes, Usyk did dominate the matchup, but a particular incident in the fifth round will remain a hotly contested issue.

Pro-boxing rules specify that any jabs below the naval are illegal. In the wake of his loss, Dubois opposed the allegations of foul play against him.
