The running joke about Terence Crawford is still not over. If you are still not in the know, this is what happened—it all kicked off during the UFC 306 Noche event at the sphere. The two-time undisputed champion became a victim of the UFC broadcasting team error. As the cameras focused on ‘Bud’ sitting cage side, the on-screen graphics wrongly labeled him as the American rapper Kendrick Lamar. Since the howler, he has become a bit of a laughingstock for the boxing community.
On that note, this time too Crawford was roped in by a Twitter user as he made a joke on a boxing trainer. The latest victim of the doppelganger joke is none other than English boxer Sandy Ryan’s coach, Kay Koromo. He was at the boxing event in Madison Square Garden a couple of hours ago, where her charge engaged in an exciting battle with bitter rival Mikhaela Mayer but unfortunately lost her WBO world welterweight belt via majority decision.
Along with the red paint controversy, it was altogether a disappointing night for Team Ryan. However, the internet doesn’t show mercy for somebody else’s feelings, provided a good joke can be milked out of it.

Taking to X and posting a photo of Ryan’s coach, one user wrote, “Kendrick Crawford.” Koromo, in his black beanie and yellow hoodie, definitely looked like a blend of Terence Crawford and Lamar. Kay Koromo’s beard and the structure of his face had a striking resemblance to Terence Crawford. Possibly the eyes have some similarities with Lamar’s.

One fan attempted to take a dig based on the UFC goof-up at the Sphere. They remarked, “I lowkey thought that was Kendrick, I mean Terence.” Later, in an interview with TMZ, Crawford said that the mix-up was “intentionally” done but took it in great stride. “It was intentionally done for laughter because how can you get us mixed up? All in all, it was funny to me,” Crawford said.
Meanwhile, taking the name of the disgraced rapper, Sean John Combs, aka Diddy, one user commented, “I thought it was mix of diddy x Kendrick x bud” Saying that your face resembles that of Diddy is an ultimate insult now that he has been arrested on the charges of sex trafficking, racketeering, and conspiracy.
Another fan commented that Koromo’s face resembled that of legendary boxer Tommy Hearns. They wrote, “I thought that was Tommy Hearns” For those unversed. Hearns was the first boxer in history to win titles in five weight divisions. Resonating the same sentiment, another fan commented, “Kendrick “Thomas Hearns” Crawford.”
