Mike Tyson’s Relationship With Naomi Campbell: Did They Date?

Heavyweight icon Mike Tyson was arguably the biggest global celebrity back in his prime. Even outside the boxing ring, Tyson remained the attention-seeker and was close to umpteen celebrities from different communities. He was rumored to be dating several people, and the most prominent name may have been Naomi Campbell.

The Brit model was reportedly close to Mike Tyson for a long time. Despite vast coverage of their relationship, Tyson and Campbell never really appeared prominent in the tabloids. That said, they were way too close to be ignored.

Mike Tyson’s close ally, Rory Holloway, had detailed several insights about the Tyson-Campbell relationship in his book- ‘Taming The Beast- The Untold Story of Mike Tyson’.

Per Holloway, Mike Tyson, and Naomi Campbell met each other at a party. Manager Holloway was there to keep Tyson out of trouble and was generally ‘baby-sitting’ the champ. That’s when he saw ‘Iron’ Mike interacting with Naomi Campbell. The pair instantly caught his attention and were rumored to be dating.

Recalling that incident, Holloway once said in an interview, “I had to rub my eyes. I mean, the most exciting thing at that time was Naomi Campbell. She was wild and vivacious, with these legs that went on for days. I’m stuck holding their drinks ’cause Mike says he gotta use the restroom. Next thing I know, Naomi’s following him in there. Holy s–t. Guests are walking up. ‘Bathroom’s taken,’ I’m telling them.”

Well, it may have not been a fairy tale ride, as Naomi Campbell once revealed how she had a scuffle with Tyson at one point.

Tyson and Campbell had dated each other in New York, USA. ‘Iron’ Mike appeared to be a possessive partner as Naomi Campbell recounted some hilarious yet minor confrontations with the heavyweight legend. Speaking on her YouTube channel, Chris Rock had detailed Mike Tyson.

Rock said “I think Mike pushed you out of a moving car one night … I think you gave somebody your number and he lost his head.” (H/T:- Pagesix.com)

Campbell responded, “You sure it wasn’t me that pushed him? That’s if I even got in the car with him … It’s a good thing we’re all grown-ups today and we’re family … It’s nice to see him blossom. Those were fun times in New York … can never go back to those.”

As of now, the couple doesn’t seem close to each other. However, their reported rumors from the past depict them to have shared a close bond.
