Mike Tyson was recently in conversation with skateboarding legend Tony Hawk in his podcast Hotboxin’ with Mike Tyson. As the conversation progressed, the veteran boxer opened up about his ordeal while suffering from sciatica.
He stated, “I had sciatica so humbling. Your wife had to help you take a sh*t in the bathroom, you can’t move. That’s tough, really tough. Not now, but when I got sciatica, ‘hey, please help’. Soon as you come out, boom, I hit the floor right away, and I feel like Ahh.”

Tyson continued by saying that he still experiences sciatica issues if he is inactive or sits still for an extended period of time. He had stated in a previous interview that he was unable to speak while he was suffering from the condition. However, his doting wife, Lakiha ‘Kiki’ Spicer always stood by him and helped him go through this. The pair has been married for more than 10 years and even have two beautiful children together.

‘Iron Mike’ is currently 56 years old, but he continues to engage in strenuous sports, showing that he is still young at heart. Apart from boxing, he is also a fan of other sports like golf and basketball. Additionally, during his recent episode with skateboarding great Tony Hawk, Tyson decided to give it a go while standing up on a skateboard and might have really injured himself.

Apparently, ‘Iron Mike’ stood up on a skateboard, trying to maintain his balance. He even said, “Oh I better stop this.” And following that, he lost his balance and the skateboard sent him into the air, whereupon he landed on a chair that was kept in the back. He might have injured his head or back while performing this stunt if it weren’t for the chair.
