The famous trainer spoke on his show, THE FIGHT with Teddy Atlas, and said, “I got the feeling, by watching, that he’s even more cautious now as he’s older. Atlas then added, “I don’t think he trusted his reflexes and everything that’s always there for Floyd Money Mayweather. I don’t think that he felt that… nobody knew it better than him. And I think that he knew that he couldn’t trust himself to open up, if you will.”

At 44, it is no surprise that ‘Money Mayweather’ is not the fighter he was years ago. In addition to this, the former multi-weight champion did not rate the YouTuber’s skills and took it easy. Therefore, he did not have a full-fledged camp.

Ultimately, this showed in the fight. Although Mayweather had no problems handling Paul’s attacks, he never stepped on the gas to get his opponent out. While some claimed it was part of the agreement, Atlas feels it is because he did not trust himself to get it done without getting hurt.
