Mike Tyson had a peculiar interest in having exotic pets. During his heydays, the former two-time heavyweight champion accumulated great wealth. This allowed him to invest stacks of cash in expensive pets. He was famously known for having three Bengal tiger cubs. He lived with them at his Las Vegas home.

In a special episode with the renowned combat sports figure, Joe Rogan, ‘The Baddest Man on the Planet’ shared his experience of keeping tigers as pets. While discussing, the 56-year-old unveiled some unique facts about tigers that differentiate them from lions and dogs.

“You know this the relationship with tigers and stuff are different than with lions and stuff. Lions are like dogs and stuff. They like hanging out with family but tiger only hanging out with you. Only with you and you hope, you better hope he doesn’t like one of your children because then you can’t touch, play with your children. He might kill you! It’s crazy. That’s what the tiger, they get attached to one person. They’re not no family people. One person!” Tyson said.

According to ‘Kid Dynamite’, the fascinating idea of buying tigers struck Tyson, when he was in prison. Therefore, after coming out of jail, he adopted three cubs named: Kenya, Storm, and Boris. The champ used to play with them. His videos of wrestling with tigers had created a buzz.

In the video, the champ appeared wrestling with one of his tigers in the courtyard.

Tyson’s tiger became a matter of controversy several times. Once he had to pay $250,000 to a woman, who suffered injuries after Tyson’s tiger attacked her. It was one of the scariest incidents. The wild cat attacked her when she trespassed into Tyson’s property.

Per reports, Tyson lost his wild cat when it tried to eat his neighbor’s dog.

Over time, Tyson realised the risk of keeping big cats. He admitted later that it was a terrible mistake to keep such dangerous animals next to him. Though, he still claimed that tigers are very nice, he also mentioned the risk of getting killed by them accidentally.
