Can Mike Tyson's legendary power still dominate, or will Jake Paul shock the world?

You can have a splendid view of a once-in-a-millennium fight for peanuts. Yes, you heard it right. The Mike Tyson vs. Jake Paul fight prices have faced a sharp plunge, and now you can have the $40,000 ringside tickets for a couple of thousand. These might shock you a bit, especially after $2 million priced ‘owner’s experiences’ tickets for the bill made rounds on the internet. How is it exactly happening?

Tyson, 58, will meet Paul, 27, in the middle of the ring on November 15 at the AT&T Stadium in Arlington. The prices for the ringside tickets were retailing at $40,000 when they went on sale. But, as per Gametime, those same tickets with a close-up action will cost you merely $2000, and it’s a steal.

In addition, the website pointed out that the lowest tickets are available at $91. Whereas, the $2 million package would have enabled fans to sit in a private suite less than 6 feet away from the action, along with a prefight locker room visit.

Interestingly, when the tickets initially opened for sale in July, they had a price tag of $420. The massive slump in the price could be due to the ballooning of the pre-registrations, which touched 120,000. But as the capacity of the stadium is 80,000, some dropped out, and people who waited longer got the benefits of slashed prices. Now, it has come down to $2000 for the ringside tickets. This partly might be because the organizers decided to fill up the arena and not leave any empty seats.

Notably, it could be an attempt to shatter the Canelo Alvarez vs. Billy Joe Saunders‘ attendance record at the same venue, which currently stands at 73,126. Given that there is enough buzz and traction around the fight, it is well on course to beat the record. However, there are concerns about ‘Iron Mike’s health condition and his ability to go the distance in the fight.

Mike Tyson: more muscle, much heavier, and more deadly?

Tyson, at 50-6, recently touched upon his weight and shape when he sat down at the ‘Pound 4 Pound’ podcast. He said, “[I’m] 230 [lbs]. In fight week, yeah, I turn 230 [lbs]. But my body’s changed a little bit. [I have] more mass, you know, I’m working out. You just put on weight, you put on fat and you turn that fat into muscle. So, you become heavier.”

Back in his heydays, the former heavyweight champion only used to weigh close to 216 or 217 lbs, which he used to his advantage—to cut the distance and land his heavy punches quickly because of his lighter weight. It might not be the case anymore, as he is much older. It remains to be seen how his new weight will help him in the fight.
