Glory, valor, and violence—you associate these values with Mike Tyson and his successful boxing career. Despite hanging up boxing gloves almost two decades ago, the American boxer is back in the boxing fold. But why did he pick up Jake Paul? Is it because of the charm of fighting that never died off? Or is it because of the money bags he got offered?
Tyson, 58, will fight it out and exchange blows with Paul, 27, as they will clash on November 15 at AT&T Stadium in Arlington. The Netflix steamed event has all the traction and buzz and will leave both fighters with beefed-up bank accounts. But how much are they getting paid for putting up a show? More importantly, is ‘Problem Child’ receiving a heavier check than ‘Iron Mike’?

How much are Mike Tyson and Jake Paul earning for their Netflix showdown?
Neither the fighters nor anyone from their camp has disclosed the official pay for their coming fight. However, many have drawn conjectures based on the public remarks and stringing the other comments together. Interestingly, for Tyson, at 50-6, money was not the motivator, as he was early collecting hefty money from his successful TYSON 2.0 brand. But when he sat down in a conversation with Jimmy Kimmel, the host made an interesting observation.

Kimmel, 56, said, “I know you’re making a lot of money … at least $20 million or something like that.” However, he didn’t ask the former heavyweight champion to confirm these numbers. What’s more? USA Today had reported that boxing industry experts were also putting the numbers close to $20 million. But, as there is no official confirmation, the number could be higher too.
Paul, at 10-1, in an August conference hinted that he was getting paid $40 million. He had told the media, “I’m here to make $40 million and knock out a legend.” As with the case with Tyson, we are not sure of the number. But the YouTuber turned boxer has put an extra $5 million on the table for Tyson.

Jake Paul puts another $5 million on the line
The Cleveland native took to his social media handle, wearing a bodysuit, and disclosed his intention to pay $5 million to the former heavyweight champion if the latter survived 4 rounds with him. He announced, “If you last more than 4 rounds with me, I’ll give you an extra $5 million. But if you don’t, then you have to get a tattoo that says, ‘I love Jake Paul’.”

This wager didn’t sit well with Tyson, who then brushed it under the rug. Hilariously, in a conversation with USA Today, he demanded more money for the wager and the probable consequence of getting a tattoo. He declared, “He should offer more. Probably $20 [million]. Tell him probably about $20 [million].” While the pay numbers are not exact for both fighters, these suggest that they will get paid a large sum for their fight.
