‘The Baddest Man on the Planet’, Mike Tyson put on a classic exhibition bout against Roy Jones Jr. last year. This fight garnered vast fame and attention and went down as one of the best PPV events of 2020. Ever since that fight, it was speculated that Mike Tyson will step inside the boxing ring yet again for an exhibition clash.
Moreover, his team was in sheer talks to stage a fight with an old nemesis, Evander Holyfield.
But as per recent reports, ‘Iron’ Mike has turned down a whopping $25 million guarantee to fight Holyfield on May 29 later this year.

As per ESPN, Holyfield’s manager, Kris Lawrence, said, “We thought this was a done deal. But it quickly fell apart when Tyson’s people declined all offers.”
“We were negotiating in good faith all along and it appears we just ended up wasting our time.”

A few days back, Tyson cleared it on his Instagram that he’ll never work with Triller, who broadcasted his last exhibition bout against Roy Jones Jr. He further asserted he’ll only work with Legends Only League for his forthcoming events.
With this fight already looking in danger, it looks like Tyson will have to confront ‘Captain Hook’ again or any other opponent willing to fight him. Moreover, the Holyfield fight is not completely off the cards and fans will look to see what happens next.

Mike Tyson vs Evander Holyfield trilogy – will it ever happen?
The world witnessed the first two momentous fights between Tyson and Holyfield in the 1990s. They were part of one of the biggest rivalries of the retro boxing era.
After Tyson’s last exhibition fight, both their teams wanted to stage a trilogy between the two in the mightiest way. But with Tyson separating abruptly from Triller, and turning down an eye-catchy amount for this bout, it seems that the future of this fight is in jeopardy. However, the probabilities of a third fight aren’t completely over for now.

Their teams will have to sit and iron out all the possible stuff to roll out this bout for millions of fans, who are desperate to see them collide.
