It’s stunning but it is true. Mike Tyson, the former two-time heavyweight champion is a big art enthusiast. The more shocking fact is that not only does he like art, but he also has a vast knowledge of historic artifacts. Whenever Tyson digs deep into philosophy and history, he recalls all that he has learned. From the latest Hotboxin with Mike Tyson episode, we get to know that he even keeps a keen interest in art.

This time, the guest was the legendary rapper and producer Swizz Beatz, who is an established artist. The trio Tyson, Beatz, and co-host DJ Whoo Kid went on to discuss art during Renaissance.

While discussing, ‘The Baddest Man on Planet’ gave a stunning take on the Mona Lisa, one of the most famous artworks of all time.

What did Mike Tyson say about the Mona Lisa?

The talk began with DJ Whoo Kid’s visit to Paris, where he first time saw, the most valuable painting of all times kept in the Louvre Museum in Paris since 1797. He had already heard about this masterpiece a lot, so when he first saw it he was disappointed because it was pretty small which he had not expected.

So he asked Tyson, “were you happy to see it as I mean were you like when you saw the Mona Lisa?”

Tyson who already heard a lot about Mona Lisa and the theories behind it replied, “no because I’ve heard many stories about the Mona Lisa as I was growing up as a kid and that’s um Michelangelo’s cousin or something and it’s just so many stories about the Mona Lisa it’s always conspiracy.”

 Mona Lisa is the most talked about piece of art from the time of the Italian Renaissance. It was painted by Italian genius Leonardo da Vinci in oil on a white Lombardy poplar panel. Since it was stolen several times and was part of several emperors bedrooms, it gained enormous fame.
