Jake Paul and Mike Tyson are about to go toe-to-toe on July 20 at AT&T Stadium in Arlington, Texas, home of the NFL’s Dallas Cowboys. Meanwhile, the former heavyweight champion of the world has been giving regular updates about his training on social media. However, where he was training for the fight was unknown up until recently.
The former ‘Baddest Man on the Planet’ will showcase his blockbuster return to the ring following his November 2020 exhibition against Roy Jones Jr. live exclusively on Netflix. So, to ride the wave of anticipation, Tool Singer Maynard James Keenan revealed Tyson has been training for the Jake Paul fight in his gym. Alongside sharing some snaps with the former champion on social media a while back!

Turning to Instagram on March 16, the rocker shared two stills with Tyson. In both pictures, Tyson posed with Keenan and his wife, Lei Li Keenan, inside the gym located at Cottonwood, AZ Verde, Valley BJJ martial arts school. Meanwhile, he expressed his honor to host Tyson in the gym he co-founded.

“Honored to have @miketyson grace our small town academy, @verdevalleybjj. His Training Camp for @jakepaul vs @miketyson began under our roof.” wrote Keenan. He further added, “Gonna be bragging about that for a bit. Long after y’all are tired of hearing about it. Deal [with] it.” Meanwhile, a two-weight UFC champion has revealed Tyson’s potential purse for the fight.

Since the fight was announced earlier this month, the entire boxing world has erupted with anticipation, hinting at how many people will tune in to watch the fight. However, Henry Cejudo thinks Tyson’s payday could be much bigger. According to a report from talkSport, Cejudo suggested Tyson could make around $20m (£15.7m) from the fight.

“I mean, you know what I respect, Uncle Mike… But it obviously takes two to tango,” said Cejudo. He further added, “I feel like there is probably a really good payday for Mike. He’s probably going to wind up making close to about 20 mil, and he’s about to turn 58 years old.” However, it’s worth mentioning that Cejudo is in no way related to the fight, so it’s his personal opinion at best.
