Can John Fury back the trash talk he loves to dish out on others? Not long ago, Mike Tyson’s former sparring partner, Joe Egan, called out Fury senior for a fight. However, the retired bare-knuckle fighter with a lackluster record proposed a deal for Egan to accept his challenge.

Fury claimed KSI owed him £200,000 for the Tommy Fury vs. KSI fight, so if Eagen can convince the YouTuber turned boxer to pay him the money, he will be open to fighting him. However, ‘Big’ Joe Egan, who has sparred with the likes of Mike Tyson and Lennox Lewis, took a different approach to convince John. In a clip he shared on social media today, Egan revealed why he wants to fight Fury senior badly. Hint- it ain’t about the money!

Joe Egan claims John Fury bad-mouthed him

Failing to convince Fury to fight, Egan stated, “It’s not the money. The money is a bonus, John.” Rather, the former Irish boxer brought up his movie’s [Prize Fighter] premiere, which Fury senior had attended. Egan said, “You went to the premiere, and one of them Illustrious company mentioned to you [that] ‘there’s another boxer in the film called Joe Egan. Do you know Joe?’”

As per Egan, instead of acknowledging him as a friend, Fury senior claimed, “You went, ‘Joe Egan is a fraud. Joe Egan is a fake hard man.’” Clarifying that he has never claimed he was a hardman, Egan stated, “You [John Fury] have personally claimed to be a hard man. Well, let’s see how hard you are now, John.”

Claiming John Fury withered at the prospect of fighting him, Egan asked, “Let’s get into the boxing ring, where it’s a bit safer for you, John.” While Fury senior looks for every possible way to get out of fighting Egan, a British actor claims it would be a blockbuster hit.

With the kind of publicity John Fury has gathered over the years, especially during his son’s fight against KSI, it’s no surprise that people would want to see him get in the ring. Whether it’s flipping tables in the press conference or taking his shirt off to fight his son’s battle, John Fury would do numbers like no other.

And actor Tamer Hassan agrees! In a clip on social media, later shared on YouTube, Hassan addressed the potential fight, urging Fury senior to step up. “It’s a fight I’d like to watch, so make it happen, mate. John, my mate Joe wants to fight [you]. I’d love to see that fight, and I’m sure lots of people will, friends and family. And I’d love to see a fair fight happen, make it happen, John. John, get it on,” said Hassan.
