Mike Tyson’s Old Demons Resurface to Silence Female Reporter at Jake Paul Fight Press Conference in Arlington

It was probably a lighthearted attempt to draw out some interesting tidbits or anecdotes about the sporting icons. However, unbeknownst to the person and all present at the venue, it only led to awakening the demon inside. For such was the force of ‘Iron’ Mike Tyson‘s response. The youngest heavyweight champion in history joined Jake Paul, Katie Taylor, and Amanda Serrano for the second press conference at Arlington. The 80,000-capacity AT&T Stadium in ‘The American Dream City’ will incidentally play host to the non-title fight between Tyson and Paul. It will follow the much-anticipated rematch between Katie Taylor and Amanda Serrano.

Despite Paul’s credentials as an influencer boxer, his youth and ring activity might pose a challenge to the former heavyweight champion. Otherwise, ‘Iron’ Mike appears physically fit, and from recent clips, it’s easy to make out his technical sharpness and focus. Perhaps, in order to give himself just that little push, he seems to have recalled that dormant beast. One that destroyed some of the hardest pairs of gloves. Did the reporter get a glimpse of it when Mike Tyson thundered back?

MC Brian Custer requested that all the attending reporters identify themselves. Kristina Snow received the opportunity to ask the first question. It was for everyone. “Hi everyone, hello, hello hello hi everyone, my name is Kristina Snow with ‘@ snowqueenla’, I have a question for all the fighters: What is one thing people don’t know about you?” She asked. Then, it was over to Katie Taylor and Amanda Serrano’s turn to speak. Both champions shared their thoughts on the fight. The duo face off for the Irish champion’s undisputed title. Soon, a Q&A session with media personnel followed.

Katie Taylor went first. She revealed that though she boxes excellently, one thing about her that most of the fans and followers are largely unaware of is that she can hardly sing or dance. Later, Amanda Serrano, during her turn, revealed how, despite being in the business of hurting, outside of the ring she has never liked arguing or fighting with others.

Custer then repeated the question to Mike Tyson: “Mike, what is one thing people don’t know about you?” and pat came the reply, “None of their f**king business.” The response soon had everyone at the venue burst into laughter and loud cheering.

However, for Jake Paul, it was all about kissing “Mike’s big, juicy lips.” Despite the snappy comeback from Tyson, it seems, Kristina Snow seemingly took it in her stride and brushed it off along with the rest of the crowd.

Mike Tyson: Full-Steam Ahead

Now a professionally sanctioned fight with specific rules, the announcement of the bout between a bona fide boxing great and the YouTuber-turned-boxer took the boxing community by surprise. Doubts and concerns, especially for Tyson, persist. When the fight takes place on July 20, he will be fifty-eight. But that certainly didn’t prevent Jake Paul from taking potshots at the boxing great during the second kick-off presser.

Four days ago, the kick-off press conference for the fight took place at New York City’s Apollo Theater. In comparison to today’s affair, it was a much more subdued undertaking. Towards the end, Mike Tyson and Jake Paul faced each other and departed chuckling, on a rather cheerful note. However, in a recent interview with Forbes, Mike Tyson did reveal the measures he had been undertaking to bring back the deadly, mean fighter that he used to be. So, was the response from Mike Tyson in the recent presser a flashback to the past? A hungry and fearsome boxer, reminiscent of the legendary steps of his legacy?
