Boxing legend Mike Tyson has incurred a lot of physical damage throughout his career. The former heavyweight champion used a heavy and aggressive style, resulting in his body being damaged. Moreover, even in his last fight, Tyson revealed that he was retiring from the sport due to back issues.

However, Iron Mike has always had the ability to push through pain, sometimes even not realizing that he was injured. This was proved after he revealed how he didn’t know about a broken shoulder suffered in a motorcycle accident for five years. In an episode of his podcast alongside skateboarding legend Tony Hawk, Tyson detailed how he only got to know about the broken shoulder after a doctor revealed it to him.
“I didn’t get any head damage or anything but my hand, I was just born nuts. I was in a motorcycle accident and I broke my shoulder but I never got to fix it. I never knew it was broken. 5 years later doctor says man how long is your shoulder been broken, I say my shoulders never been broken. He says yes it has, never knew” said Tyson.

Although Iron Mike had a broken shoulder for almost five years, he didn’t even realize it. This just goes on to show Tyson’s toughness despite this resulting in him ignoring his injury.

A video of Kid Dynamite trying to hop on Tony Hawk’s skateboard recently took over the internet. However, unfortunately for Tyson, the skateboard quickly moved under his feet as soon as he hopped on it. This resulted in him falling on his sofa. Fortunately for him, there was a cushion for his landing.

Tyson is no stranger to trying new boards. He once also jumped on a hoverboard back in 2016 but couldn’t control it. He eventually fell off that board and needed to rest in bed for a week. Moreover, Tyson even poked fun at the skateboard mishap and compared it to the hoverboard incident.
