Mike Tyson has dominated headlines over his supposed return to the ring and fans were curious about the identity of his next opponent. The name leading the race to fight ‘Iron’ was Logan Paul. However, nothing concrete came in the news regarding an exhibition fight between the two.
Subsequently, Jake Paul’s name came up as an opponent for Mike Tyson in an exhibition. However, ‘The Baddest Man on the Planet’ did not really seem open to fighting ‘The Problem Child’.

In the Full Send Podcast, Tyson spoke about his boxing plans. He said, “Every, they say it’s 10, but it’s like every 12, or 13 months boom, something’s missing. Like something’s missing, I give it to boom. I’m losing muscle mass. Boom, it’s something. It’s always something different. And I don’t know, I’m just, guys want to fight me for 100 million bucks.”
“I wanted to do it the first time just for fun to have fun and then some people took it to another level and made it financial and then the fun went out of it.”

In 2020, ‘Iron’ Mike took an exhibition fight against Roy Jones Jr. Showing a snippet of his prime version, Tyson raised countless eyebrows and earned a staggering 1.6 million PPV buys.
With that, one thing was clear; Tyson’s fame and hardcore fan following were still at their peak. As a result, many expected the former heavyweight kingpin to come back for more.

Mike Tyson was supposed to square off against Lennox Lewis in February
In the concluding months of 2021, Mike Tyson made headlines for his potential boxing return by February 2022. There was no clarity on his opponent. But, a few days back, an old rival, Lennox Lewis, confirmed a fight with ‘The Baddest Man on the Planet’.

However, Tyson’s above comments will have definitely left many fans disheartened as not only the potential Lewis fight, but every single fight or fight discussion is off. It’ll be interesting to see if Tyson reverses his decision.
