Can Jake Paul handle the ferocity of a prime Mike Tyson, or is he out of his depth?

Former undisputed heavyweight champion Mike Tyson has a huge test ahead of him, as the 58-year-old looks to lock horns with 27-year-old social media sensation Jake Paul. Many in the boxing community are worried about their beloved idol because of the sheer age difference between the fighters, but a recent training clip from Tyson seems to sway that belief a bit.

Tyson and Paul are slated to clash on November 15th at the AT&T Stadium in Arlington, Texas, on Netflix’s debut in boxing. Meanwhile, with a mere 41 days left in the clash, ‘Iron’ Mike turned to social media to share training footage of himself that gave fans a glimpse of his ferocious power and speed, even at his advanced age.

Earlier today, the former heavyweight champion shared a training clip on X, captioning it, “Final stretch. Less than 50 days left.” In the video, Tyson is seen relentlessly pounding the pads with his trainer, displaying the ferocious speed that once made him a legend. The footage has reignited fans’ hopes of witnessing a spectacular performance when he steps back into the ring later this year.

It’s important to note that Tyson suffered a medical emergency earlier this year during a cross-country flight, later revealed to be an ulcer flare-up. This setback caused the highly anticipated fight to be postponed from July to November, raising concerns among fans about his health and readiness.

Despite these worries, Tyson has reassured his supporters, confidently stating that he’s ready to knock out Jake Paul. In the lead-up to their rescheduled bout, several heated exchanges between the two have fueled anticipation, with both men provoking each other during face-offs. However, with Tyson’s latest training footage circulating on X, fans seem more convinced than ever that he might just knock Paul’s head clean off.

One fan humorously revealed their reaction to a potential Tyson knockout of Paul by sharing a picture of an animated Conor McGregor from the Anthony Joshua vs. Daniel Dubois fight, where McGregor is seen in the background celebrating Dubois’ knockdown of Joshua. “Me when Tyson knocks down the Blogger,” the user wrote in the caption. The image perfectly captures the excitement and energy many fans expect to feel if Tyson delivers a knockout blow.

Someone else pointed out that regardless of the outcome of the fight, what Tyson has achieved at his age is impressive. “No matter what Mike is so impressive doing this at this age,” the user commented. However, it would be even more impressive if Tyson could drop Paul during the fight.

Meanwhile, this user suggested what Tyson’s trainer might be thinking. “The coach is praying for the fight to happen as early as possible,” wrote one user. However, the longer the fight takes, the more the trainer is likely to get paid.

That said, is Mike Tyson ready to fight Jake Paul in November? It’s important to consider, much like Tyson’s prior posts, it’s a short clip of Tyson exploding with energy. Whether he can maintain similar levels during the fight is yet to be seen. Regardless, what’s your take on the clip?
