The wildfires in Los Angeles have gone out of control has led to the tragic death of at least 5 people up till now, including hundreds of disintegrated properties. According to reports, over 130,000 people have had to leave their homes amidst the disaster and are either commuting to a different state or are homeless and seeking shelter at this point. It is truly a horrendous occurrence that has devastated the lives of countless people.

The adversity has resulted in people from all industries coming together and helping the victims. Legendary boxer Mike Tyson also did his small part as he shared valuable information on his Instagram story.

The 58-year-old took to his Instagram stories and shared details of several human and animal evacuation shelters set up across LA that are helping the victims. He also wrote in the captions, “Praying for LA,” letting everyone know that his heart is with the city. Considering how Mike Tyson has spent a substantial amount of his life in LA because of training and professional commitments, this tragedy must have surely affected him. The Brooklyn native has participated in events, charity work, and community outreach programs in Los Angeles.

‘Iron Mike’ further shared some valuable information regarding how other people can help with donations. Relief centers are also accepting household and comfort items that can help all the victims in these dire circumstances.

Local government firefighters and other social workers are also working tirelessly and sharing information like Mike Tyson will help them out immensely, as it will educate people on what to do. LA is going through a tough time as the city has faced a heightened frequency of wildfires, floods, and earthquakes in just the past few years. However, the current disaster in the form of wildfire saw LA witnessing one of the most destructive days in the city’s history. The wildfire started from the Pacific Palisades, a prosperous neighborhood between Santa Monica and Malibu and near the Pacific Ocean.

The fire started at 10:30 local EST, according to Cal Fire, and because of the heavy winds; the fires began to spread out in no time. Before anyone could know what was happening, the fire got completely out of control.

Things turned for worse when three separate blazes from Hurst, Woodley, and Eaton sides joined it. It has been hours since the disaster struck. However, the firefighters have not been able to contain any of the fires because of its intensity.

The Pacific fire has engulfed more than 17,200 acres of land, while the Eaton fire has exploded to 10,600 acres. Over 2,000 structures have been burned and the citizens were ordered to evacuate the area. More than 7,500 firefighters have been deployed, according to California Governor Gavin Newsom. However, they have been unable to bring it under control.

President Joe Biden announced it as a major disaster and ordered federal assistance to bolster response efforts. We hope the situation gets under control as soon as possible. Every passing second is resulting in another life being affected.
