Jake Paul already has his eyes set on the next big prize. A fight with the face of boxing, Canelo Alvarez, is all he wants and craves. But is it happening soon? The important question is whether the Problem Child can pull off another upset with his current skill set.
Paul, 27, shook the world when he emerged victorious against Mike Tyson. He soon would turn his attention to another big fish, as he would announce to the world, “Canelo needs me. So, I’m not even going to try and call him out. He knows he wants a payday. So, he knows where the money man is at.”
But reason has dawned upon ‘Problem Child,’ as he now understands the uphill task. What’s more? The fight with ‘Iron Mike’ is the reason behind this sudden change.

In his latest episode of ‘BS w/Jake Paul’, the 11-1 record admitted he doesn’t have what it takes to defeat the Mexican champion yet. In addition, he disclosed his troubles with his ankle. When asked about his chances of beating Alvarez, Paul said, “No, not tonight’s Jake. But I also sprained my f—–g ankle in half.”
The Cleveland native then talked about how he wasn’t comfortable at heavyweight and how the fight with the former world heavyweight champion made him realize this. He continued, “And I’m not a heavyweight, is what I learned tonight. I’m not a 200-pounder, who is for forever.”
So, the question now lies whether Paul will cut his weight to super middleweight limits or continue to hover around heavyweight limits. Why? Because Artur Beterbiev has thrown a gauntlet at him. But what about Alvarez?

Canelo Alvarez’s clear words to Jake Paul
Jake Paul has called for a fight with Alvarez at the cruiserweight for the world title. He announced at the Timbo Sugar Show, “Me vs. Canelo at 200 lbs for the cruiserweight championship of the world is the biggest fight. Arguably even bigger than me vs. Tyson.” But that’s not what the 34-year-old champion believes.

When asked about entertaining a fight with Paul, Alvarez, at 62-2-2, told TMZ Sports, “I’m not interested.” He was even critical of the Netflix event. The super middleweight champion labeled it a “show” instead of a fight. Therefore, he has shut the doors on a potential fight between the two. But can it happen down the line? Strange things do happen in boxing, don’t they?
