The pugilist made several headlines due to numerous altercations. But to this day, his biggest controversy is when he bit Evander Holyfield’s ear. While talking with GQ Sports, Tyson revealed why he bit his opponent’s ear.
He stated, “I got very frustrated and discouraged and stuff. He was head-butting me, and I was really mad and I didn’t know what to do. And I just exploded and I bit his ear, no matter of fact I bit it twice. And I’m truly sorry.”

Apparently, Holyfield’s head-butting made Tyson furious, and he just exploded, which resulted in Holyfield losing a piece of his ear.

His towering presence used to send chills down his opponent’s spine. But as the years went by, the boxer transformed into someone completely different.

On his podcast show, Hotboxin’ with Mike Tyson, he got emotional in front of Hollywood legend William Shatner. Tyson stated, “I always cried before a fight. I don’t know, this is who I am. I’m giving me the change into somebody I don’t like. Because he came more with fighting. He brought more than just fighting with him. He brought like jealousy, enviousness, guilt, he brought a lot of stuff.”
Unexpectedly, the man who once made boxing venues electrify and who attracted thousands of spectators to the sport doesn’t like himself. When he entered the ring in his prime, “Iron Mike” claimed that he carried a lot of negative things with him, and he despises being that guy.
