Mike Tyson‘s struggle with drugs is well-known. On various occasions, the former heavyweight champion of the world offered his viewpoint on the abuse of drugs and how it almost threw him far away from boxing. In an interview, the ‘Baddest Man on the Planet’ recounted in detail how he was once offered drugs ahead of one of his crucial fights in boxing. Tyson vividly remembered how he sat and lay on the floor as he smoked it. According to Mike Tyson, following this unfortunate incident, he was never the same person he once knew inside or outside the ring.
Tyson talked about an instance before one of his upcoming fights. Although he did not mention a name, he spoke about a person who offered him drugs and a crackpipe. Little did Tyson know that his life would change after this.
Mike Tyson recalls smoking sandy dust

“I sit on the floor; I lay on the floor. He gives me this – it looked like sandy dust, and he put it into it like that. You could see it like a crackpipe,” said Tyson reliving those horrible and regretful moments of his precious life. Tyson, who had been preparing for an upcoming fight and accordingly making weight to enter the ring fell victim and smoked it. “I smoked it and I’ve never been the same,” a dejected Tyson added by saying. The former heavyweight champion felt he had lost his way in life and would never be happy.
However, with the care and good wishes of those who loved him, Tyson was able to make a recovery. Tyson went to rehab and overcame his addiction which was threatening his life. With Graham Bensinger, Tyson narrated his rehab journey.

How rehab changed Tyson
In an interview with Graham Bensinger, Mike Tyson recalled how he overcame his drug addiction in life. Tyson credited his rehab and the people there that helped him. On being asked how rehab life was, Tyson said the following, “That rehab world was just like some topic world. It’s like everyone’s happy. Everybody’s positive, and we’re going to win. Don’t worry everybody has a hard story but they’re overcoming it.”

“That’s awesome, man. That’s just an awesome spirit to be an immense self when it’s properly performed,” added Tyson who recently surprised his fans with his spectacular transformation of the physique.
