Mike Tyson started off as a pro-boxer in 1985, but he slowly and steadily ventured into many other verticals. That said, acting is a space where ‘Iron’ Mike proved his mettle, thus giving out many performances worth the watch. But all that glitters is not gold.

Recently, Mike Tyson was in a conversation with Shannon Sharpe, wherein he spoke about how his director friends screwed him. The ex-heavyweight king also revealed how he got into acting, as a vertical.

“I don’t know, I just, I have friends that were directors and they say Hey Mike sit in this movie, hey Mike, oh do this, do that, and I was never getting paid for that stuff. So I started acting and getting paid for it,” he said.

From Tribal Warfare, IP Man 3, The Hangover, Entourage, and many more, Tyson did a number of movies and shows. He made millions from his boxing run, but after retirement in 2005, ‘Iron’ Mike thought of extensively getting his hands into the entertainment side.

In his above interview, Tyson didn’t open up on which of his director friends didn’t pay him. Neither did he reveal the name of those films/shows for which he didn’t get his acting fees.

Regardless of the above concern, the ex-heavyweight champ put on some brilliant performances across all his roles.

Mike Tyson reveals the favorite movie he’s acted in

In the above interview, Mike Tyson not just spoke about director friends screwing up. But he also spilled the beans on his favorite movie he’s acted in.

“The Hangover big time,” said Tyson.

The Hangover was one of the best comical films, and Tyson had a vital part to play in it. In one of the scenes, the hard hitter knocks Zach Galifianakis.

Eventually, this scene left the fans in splits, as nobody expects ‘Iron’ Mike to land his deadly punch on his co-star. But since Tyson was in the character, he looked to play it with total honesty.
