Did Jake Paul bite off more than he could chew by dragging Mike Tyson into this?

KSI and Jake Paul have been in constant rivalry since the British YouTuber fought against the latter’s elder brother, Logan PaulThe fans desperately wait for these two pioneers of crossover boxing to clash in the ring, but the jabs are only being thrown on social media. The duo has been in a constant state of back and forth for years and has left no opportunity to shoot each other down. Now we have another update on the storied rivalry.

The argument started when Olajide Olatunji aka KSI announced the release of his new song ‘Thick Of It’ featuring popular rapper, Trippie Redd. KSI posted a 28-second teaser of the music video on ‘X’. This became ammo for Jake Paul to ridicule JJ and his music career. The Problem Child did exactly that. However, the move backfired, as KSI roped in Mike Tyson to lambast Jake Paul.

Don’t mess with KSI

The Puerto Rican resident decided to make fun of KSI’s teaser for his song featuring Trippie Redd. Berating the song, Jake Paul noted, “Thank you KSI you hero🙏🏼 my 83 year old grandpa hasn’t been able to walk in years. But when you released this song… he finally stood up and turned this sh*t off.”

As if KSI was patiently waiting in tow for Jake Paul to say something. No sooner had the comment arrived than JJ shot right back. He responded, “Looks like you’ve got your next opponent lined up then…” highlighting Jake Paul’s comment on his grandfather. According to KSI, now that Paul’s grandfather can walk, he can schedule a fight against him as he likes to fight retired fighters.

It was a clear dig at Paul’s upcoming fight against Mike Tyson, who is almost 60 years old now. And this is not the first time that Jake Paul is going to fight a retired professional. In 2021, Paul faced Tyron Woodleywho was almost 40 years old at the time and had retired from UFC after losing four consecutive fights. He was a complete amateur in boxing and lost both matches against the Problem Child.

In October 2022, Paul took it a step further when he decided to fight 47-year-old Anderson Silva, who had not fought since 2020. Paul once again cruised to victory via a unanimous decision after eight rounds. The strategy by Paul of fighting retired athletes has been working well for him and his career. He has mostly fought against athletes who are past their prime and have racked up serious money in the process.

Returning to the subject of KSI’s music, this is not the first time that Jake Paul has taken a dig at JJ’s alternate career as a rapper.

Jake Paul: Not a fan of KSI’s music

Jake Paul has previously called out JJ’s music and stated, “No one’s bumping your music. Stick to YouTube and stop pretending to be a rapper.” Claiming that without KSI’s YouTube success, no one would like his music.

In 2021, KSI released a track “No Time” which was a direct diss towards everything Jake Paul has achieved in boxing. JJ went into great detail about his own success in various ventures and how Paul could never achieve the height of the first KSI vs Logan Paul match.
