The fight between Ryan Garcia and Gervonta Davis was one of the most awaited clashes in the sport. The fans waited long to witness two top lightweight contenders clash inside the boxing ring. The fight witnessed boxing personalities and other celebrities coming from far and wide to see these two lightweight icons lock horns. However, it seems like one particular person had a rather odd and unexpected reason for not attending the fight.

In a recent episode of Mike Tyson‘s podcast, Singer and songwriter Ne-Yo revealed why he was absent from the Garcia Vs. Davis fight. And, with this discussion, Tyson did not hesitate to share his own thoughts.

Ne-Yo’s reason for not watching the Davis vs Garcia fight in person makes Tyson laugh

While on the episode of Hotboxin with Mike Tyson, Yo revealed the reason behind not going to the showdown between Ryan Garcia and Gervonta Davis. He claimed that when he is at a fight, he watches everything else except the fight. He thinks there are a lot of other things he gets to focus on rather than the fight.

Ne Yo said, “The reason I’m not going is because when I when go to the fight, I don’t watch the fight. I watch who’s at the fight; I watch what she wore today.”

The former heavyweight champion stated that the singer could focus on the fight as well as things going on outside of the fight simultaneously. Then he went on to enact the whole thing and it was hysterical.

The singer further added, ” I’m figuring out who I’m gonna lead with and everything else, anything other than the fight and all the festivities happening around.”

Furthermore, he drew a comparison between an award show and a boxing fight. But Tyson shunned his comparison and said there’s action in a boxing fight and no action in an award show. Moreover, in the same podcast, Yo warned Tyson about a city where he should not stay for more than two weeks.
