The much-awaited ESBC gameplay reveal has thrilled many boxing aficionados. However, WBO 130 lbs champion Mikaela Mayer may not want to work with the gaming promotion. The undefeated boxer has expressed her disregard for the contract and has accused the company of differentiating between men’s and women’s negotiable protocols.
Mayer, the Top Rank prodigy, took to social media and lashed at the ESBC game. She claimed that she would not work with the video game makers if not offered the right price. Furthermore, ‘MM’ even replied to a few netizens who questioned her stance.

“Y’all want me to “just do it for exposure” cus i’m a female but no. To say that men’s contracts have been negotiated but womens are SET and it’s this or nothing is not ok to me. I’ve been doing deals with George Ruiz for 8 years, I know a rip off when i see one,” wrote Mikaela Mayer.

While she appeared to take a stand for equality and women’s rights, ‘GWOAT’ Claressa Shields dived in to further complicate the scenario. Being one of the best female fighters in the world, Shields claimed to have received a negotiable contract and advance payment from ESBC.
Glad to hear that sis! The game told us you weren’t being paid in advance. Don’t want to be in business with people who misrepresent facts. https://t.co/X0jfuivaBi

The upcoming video game will be available on PC, XBOX, Playstation, and several other gaming platforms. While EA Sports had provided a virtual representation to almost every sports event- FIFA, NBA, UFC, WWE, and many more, boxing wasn’t part of it. The upcoming release will change that and bring a stellar moment to the gaming and boxing fans.
