Waves were felt as the world of hip-hop was rocked by the sad news of the untimely demise of a young rapper. It was reported that rapper and Migos member, Takeoff, was shot and killed over a dice game. Notably, Migos is an extremely popular hip-hop trio who even performed at the Floyd Mayweather vs Logan Paul showdown in 2021.

Migos was based out of Lawrenceville, Georgia, where it was formed in 2008. And comprised of Takeoff, his uncle Quavo and cousin Offset. Takeoff, whose real name was Kirshnik Khari Ball, was the youngest member of the group.
The iconic trio was noticed after their song ‘Versace’ hit the charts in 2013. Moreover, ‘Bad and Boujee’ in 2016 further elevated them to superstardom. Takeoff was at the 810 Billiards & Bowling in Houston during the early hours of November 1, 2022, with Quavo, when the tragic incident took place. In fact, he had posted a selfie outside the scene barely hours before the incident.

According to police sources, the incident took place after 2:30 AM. Takeoff and Quavo were playing dice when a squabble broke out. However, things quickly turned deadly, and someone opened fire fatally hitting Takeoff. It was reported that he was pronounced dead on the scene. In a video, Quavo, who escaped unhurt, was seen hunched over a fallen Takeoff, calling out for help.
Meanwhile, two other individuals were also injured in the incident and taken to the hospital in private vehicles.
Migos performed at Floyd Mayweather vs Logan Paul
Migos’ rapidly rising popularity caught the eye of boxing superstar Floyd Mayweather. And he went on to invite them to perform at his entrance during his showdown with Logan Paul.

Mayweather faced Paul at the Hard Rock Stadium in Miami Gardens on June 6, 2021. Moreover, the bout titled ‘Bragging Rights’ was said to have sold over one million pay-per-views.
Migos were an integral part of Mayweather’s entrance. And the trio performed their, then latest, single ‘Straigtenin’.
